More Stat Talking: Melee

Melee as a Stat. Melee is intended to represent the characters skill bonus in melee combat. It may be strength or natural skill that is used to do damage in melee combat.

Now you are starting to lose me. I understand that the melee stat is possibly a combination of strength and skill during combat, but lets say that the character is trying to just lift an heavy object or is trying to pick a pocket... would that be a melee stat based action? Dex is not important (or not very) on lifting a heavy object and strength is not important on picking a pocket. Maybe I'm adding complications here but now I'm getting confused... or is this version more fighting heavy and less role play based?

As I have stated before, I read some of this stuff different than other people and am looking for a clarification of how it was meant to be...

The card stats will be primarily for combat and what you add to the character will be the role-playing skills.

Most role-playing bonuses will be in the cards/skills that the character adds.

Special situation contest rolls will have there own section in the rules. We can collect the questions from you guys and then do a list of "if this, then roll this"

Thanks that helps... Just remember the we (I) look at this from past experience and sine we (I) cannot read your mind, we (I) may ask what seems like strange questions from time to time...

This is a wonderful time to ask. I have way too much buried in my mind and I need prompting to know what I need to add to help all of us understand.
